AUSTRALIAN TOUR: INSANE CLOWN POSSE, SYDNEY.
The Sydney street, was lined with painted faces. The echoes of "Whoop! Whoop!" ringing through the air, the excitement could be felt by the whole FAMILY!
After 10 long years the most hated band on the planet returned to Aussie shores, with The Mighty Death Pop Tour... Five nights, five major cities and 4 killer sets!
Within days of the announcement. The news of the dark carnival's upcoming journey had spread far and wide!
The Australian underground music scene was abuzz, as fans eagerly awaited the arrival of the wicked clowns Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. They where accompanied by Boondox the killer scarecrow, The Voodoo master Big Hoodoo and Australia's own born and bred psychopath Kidcrusher the Cannibal Clown...

I personally attended the Sydney event, and I can honestly say that I have never experienced a concert quite like it. The atmosphere was overwhelming, the fans were unbelievably friendly and the music was sensational...And I say that, using every sense of the word!
It was sensational!
My experience started out the front of the venue:
My experience started out the front of the venue:
The lines where full of happy chattering people, interacting with others they have never met before, as if they had known them their whole lives... As the anticipation grew so did the laughter and chanting.
I was one of the lucky ones!
I had a V.I.P access ticket and It wasn't long until I was ushered into a side door, up a corridor of stairs, into an open room to meet the Insane clowns in person...
After waiting for what seemed like a lifetime I was standing right in front of them, getting an autograph and a photo. I stood there star struck... All the things I wanted to say just evaporated, I'm usually very articulate... But it took all I had, not to squeal like a little school girl... In case you didn't know... I am a MASSIVE fan... However I did manage to function well enough, to get my hat signed and I had a brief conversation with J and Shaggy, before I had to continue on. While I was disappointed that my encounter was over so soon, this feeling didn't last long...
As I approached the elevator leaving the V.I.P area, I was stopped by one of the "roadies"... He offered me a little card with an address and time on it, he told me to come by after the show but keep it quiet... I almost fell over with shock... As I stood in the elevator alone with this little card I felt like I was going to burst....
When I reached the stage floor there was already a large number of people getting drinks and talking over the background music. I wandered around talking to the people I happened to stumble upon, as I looked for the people I came with. The lights went out and there was a sudden uproar of whoop! whoop! I.C.P! and FAM-a-LY! The crowd was going absolutely mental... What followed, was the most amazing concert experience ever! You had to it see to believe it.The music was loud but the crowd was louder, as it rained confetti and soda, the killer clowns sang and danced all over the stage.
Everybody was having so much fun!
At the end of it, we all dispersed, wet and sticky, with only the memories and keepsakes to keep us warm.On the way toward the city I remembered the little card I was given... Through all the excitement I had somehow forgotten about it. Dragging with me, my brother and his girl aka my bestie Anna... We staggered along following the instructions on the card...We finally made it! After a very, very long unexpected adventure.
We made our way through the lobby and up the elevator to Jumpsteady's room, then spent the rest of the night/morning in a hotel with the guys from the psychopathic label, just hanging out and having fun... Talking about a flurry of things, one of which, was bouncing the idea of a return trip around...We chatted with Violent J, The Big Hoodoo, Jumpsteady, also Boondox and Shaggy who dropped in briefly... Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see Kidcrusher... Being his first tour of this kind, and having been on stage for 4 nights straight, he was crashed out by the time we arrived. (Which was well past midnight).

After spending time with the guys, I gained a new appreciation for everything they are. The saying "You should never judge a book by it's cover" totally applies when it comes to the Psychopathic Records affiliates. Although I must say! The impressions I already harbored, were just reinforced. These men are polite, gracious, articulate, intelligent, easy going, fun and extremely interesting, all while remaining completely relaxed... They have accomplished so much... And after over 20 years, of production they aren't slowing down any time soon. With new installments and projects being added to their already overflowing resumes, but these clowns don't do it for the recognition... They do it because they love it...
AND SO DO THEIR THOUSANDS OF FANS

My only regret! Is that I was so overwhelmed with the excitement, I didn't get a chance to pick their brains... I have/had so many things I wished to ask them... I did however manage to confirm there return! Yup... That's right! Jumpsteady said they will be coming BACK! NEXT YEAR! So fingers crossed Aussie Los and Lettes that all goes well, So here's to seeing them again sometime in the near future. WHOOP WHOOP MMFWCL!
